Needing 15 points to finish off her title, Lucy was awarded a 15 point BOB in good company. Gaining Lucy's title was made even more challenging due to having to do a 60km round trip to pick her up and then trim, bath and groom her each time I was to take her to a show. With all credit to her family for raising such a bombproof bitch and allowing me to take her away on various weekends, I am pleased to say that Lucy will now be retired from the showring. Her next task for me is to produce in the whelping box later this year and therefore enhance my "Steadfast" lines as she is my last remaining link to some of my original stock.

I was extremely lucky to find the perfect home for Lucy with Ana and Kerry Kaspi. Lucy is the product of 2 first time parents: Oakley (Aust Ch Steadfast DeJa Vu In Blu E.T.) and Riley (Steadfast Hi Xpectations) and I was very happy with the quality of the litter: excellent bone, angulation, pigmentation and ear carriage. As the pups grew, it was obvious Lucy was the standout, so when Ana and Kerry advised they would allow me to take Lucy to the occasional show, I was delighted. Lucy is a fast learner and is enjoying her life on acres with another Border Collie to play with and she is very much loved by her family. I have to include a statement from Ana that she wrote when I asked her to take a photo of Lucy for the website, "This is as natural as we could get her, she just wouldn't stand still!! The amount of energy this creature has is phenomenal" That totally sums up Lucy's persona!! Thanks Ana. We are pleased to be able to retain such a quality bitch for the Steadfast lines, as she incorporates, and is the last link in, some of my original breeding lines! Watch out for this bundle of energy in the ring as she continues to mature...in mind and body!
