"Tawnee" is awarded Best Junior bitch, Bitch Challenge and RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED at Melbourne Royal 2023, aged 12.5 months!!!!!! (57 Border Collies entered)
She is the first merle ever to be awarded a Challenge at Royal level in Australia - a record I am extremely proud of.
She also won the Puppy Bitch class at Adelaide Royal 2023 3 weeks previously, with the Judge commenting on her effortless movement. What wonderful feedback.
"Tawnee" is a long awaited keeper from my gorgeous merle boy "Lynx" and "Bracken". She has her father's laid back and very loving personality (and none of her mother's aloofness!!) She has been very successful in the conformation ring for a merle and has really gained some lovely feedback on her movement and type. She frequently wins her class at gender breed level which is testimony to her type despite her colour; one Judge even commented that she wondered what the General Specials Judge would think when her representative for Group 5 was a merle Border but she raved about her type. She is very obedient and is always one of the first to come back to me when the pack are out running around a paddock, as she just forever aims to please. A lovely dark eye and a very mature presence (finally), I believe she will have a very competitive future. |
